March 2, 2022 (Ottawa, ON) – Fifteen delegates from the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan are attending the 87th Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture in Ottawa.
During the meeting, APAS past President Todd Lewis was elected Second Vice-President of CFA for another term. Todd has been on the CFA Board for the last five years and served as an acting second Vice-President last year.
“We are very pleased to see Todd serve as Vice President for our national farm organization,” said APAS President Ian Boxall. “We know he will continue to serve as a strong voice for Western Canadian producers on the national level, where many important decisions are made.”
Four of the APAS delegates are participants in the APAS Youth Mentorship and Leadership program, and they met with Federal Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau, Opposition Agriculture Critic John Barlow, MP, and senior executives of Farm Credit Canada. FCC is the program sponsor for the mentorship program.
APAS has been a member of CFA since our inception in 2000. As part of the CFA Annual General Meeting, APAS is sponsoring five resolutions for consideration.
