Year: | 2016 |
Resolution #: | L7-2016AGM |
Resolution: | WHEREAS the discovery of Bovine Tuberculosis has resulted in quarantine measures on several cattle farms in Alberta and Saskatchewan; WHEREAS producers affected by these quarantines are unable to sell their cattle and are facing immediate cash flow constraints at a time when many input bills and mortgage payments are coming due; BE IT RESOLVED that APAS call on the federal government provide immediate financial relief through programs like the Advance Payment Program to ensure that affected producers can meet their cash flow requirements while the tuberculosis quarantines remain in place. |
