Resolution Title: Canadian Grain Commission Outward Inspection

Resolution:

WHEREAS The Canada Grains Act requires that each grain shipment bound for export receives a mandatory inspection carried out by the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC);  

WHEREAS The Canada Grain Act is scheduled for review and there is consideration of eliminating the mandatory inspection requirements;  

WHEREAS Mandatory outward inspection carried out by CGC staff ensures the highest standards of quality assurance and traceability for Canadian grain exports in international markets;  

BE IT RESOLVED That APAS strongly support the retention of mandatory outward inspection requirements in the Canada Grain Act.
