Resolution

WHEREAS there are areas of rural Saskatchewan facing inadequate supply of safe water for communities and livestock operations due to a lack of investment in pipelines and other water infrastructure; 

WHEREAS increasing access to water supply for communities and farm operations is required to build climate resiliency and meet the province’s growth targets for agriculture;

BE IT RESOLVED That APAS urge the federal and provincial government to increase investment in rural water infrastructure to ensure that producers and residents have access to affordable, quality water for human and livestock consumption.
