Resolution

WHEREAS producers are not able to review on agriculture products in public forums without risk of retaliation;

WHEREAS this risk of litigation, even when the complaints are verifiable through reports or other evidence, can prevent public discussions from occurring regarding the quality and safety of certain products and services;

BE IT RESOLVED that APAS call on the provincial government to create a board charged with:
• Receiving complaints from producers regarding agricultural products
• Reviewing the legitimacy and validity of complaints
• Publishing the results of the review and complaint on an easy-to-access forum for producers.
