WHEREAS much of Saskatchewan has endured a number of years of excess moisture which has created new permanent water bodies on what had been cultivated land;

WHEREAS under the current Too Wet to Seed Program offered by the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation cultivated acres that cannot be prepared for spring seeding in the fall because of excess moisture are not eligible for crop insurance coverage;

WHEREAS this loss in acreage represents a significant loss to the individual producers affected;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Provincial Government provide disaster assistance funding to those producers affected by uninsurable flooding damage.
