WHEREAS crop production in 2013 was exceptional;

WHEREAS primary elevators in Western Canada are operating at capacity;

WHEREAS a significant portion of the crop continues to be stored on farm;

BE IT RESOLVED that Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada extend the Advanced Payment Program’s September 30, 2014, deadline into the next crop year to allow producers more time to repay cash advances without penalty, provided the 2013 commodity is still stored on the farm.
