WHEREAS Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation utilizes individual producer yields over a 10 year period to establish crop insurance coverage levels;

WHEREAS production that is significantly different from average can have a major impact on the average yield of the producer;

WHEREAS this can significantly undermine the value of the insurance for the producer and reduce the income stabilizing value of insurance;

BE IT RESOLVED that the minimum yield that can be entered into a producer’s average yield calculation be 75% of the average yield and the maximum be 125% of the average.
