Resolution

Department:  Ministry of Environment

WHEREAS producers are asked to make their land available to hunters;

WHEREAS on occasion hunters cause unreported damage that either destroy habitat or cause damage to the assets of the producer (land, livestock, grain bins etc);

WHEREAS the Ministry of Environment works in partnership with Sask Crop Insurance Corporation to provide compensation programming related to wildlife damage;

BE IT RESOLVED that APAS lobby the Ministry of Environment to expand funding to include compensation for on-farm damage to land and property caused by hunters.
