WHEREAS landowners in Alberta are permitted to use Crown lease land as equity when applying for a loan and Saskatchewan landowners are not;

WHEREAS this gives residents of Alberta a competitive advantage over landowners in Saskatchewan when borrowing money to expand their land base;

BE IT RESOLVED that APAS lobby the Province of Saskatchewan to change the Provincial Lands Act to allow Saskatchewan leaseholders to use Crown Lease on land as equity when borrowing money to expand their land base.
