Resolution

WHEREAS there have been increased concerns in recent years that grain grading is not serving the needs of producers or international customers;

WHEREAS in 2012, the Canadian Grain Commissioner removed general farm organizations from membership in the Western Grains Standards Committee;

WHEREAS general farm organizations seek input from their members and provide a united voice on behalf of all producers;

BE IT RESOLVED that the CGC accept two representatives from each of the prairie general farm organizations to serve as members of the Western Grain Standards Committee and its subcommittees.
