Resolution

WHEREAS The risk profile of Canadian agriculture is changing due to climate variability, rising input costs and trade uncertainty; and

WHEREAS Federal and provincial governments have agreed to conduct a comprehensive review of risk management programs to ensure programs can respond to emerging risks; and

WHEREAS The development of predictable and effective business risk management programs requires input from producers and farm organizations;

BE IT RESOLVED That APAS call on federal and provincial governments to continue its review of business risk management programs in close consultation with producers and farm organizations.
