Resolution

WHEREAS Production insurance coverage for new crop types, including fruits and vegetables, may be limited due to area restrictions, lower coverage levels and lack of individualized production guarantees;

WHEREAS Crop diversification creates new opportunities and supports a resilient agricultural sector in the province;

BE IT RESOLVED That APAS advocate for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation to review and enhance coverage options for all new and expanding crop types across different areas of Saskatchewan, including fruits and vegetables.
