Resolution

WHEREAS Western Livestock Price Insurance Program (WLPIP) coverage is available for purchase from February to May on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only;

WHEREAS The coverage levels and associated premiums fluctuate daily due to changing market conditions;

WHEREAS Slow internet speeds and busy schedules can prevent producers from logging onto the website to check the daily prices and premiums;

WHEREAS Sharing pricing information via email or text notification is a very common and efficient way for market participants to stay on top of price trends;    

BE IT RESOLVED That APAS encourage the WLPIP administrators to give producers the option of receiving notification of the day’s price and premium coverage levels via email or text message.
