Resolution

WHEREAS Western Livestock Price Insurance programming has become an important tool for Cattle producers to manage price risk;

WHEREAS The program is unavailable to producers of other livestock, including sheep

WHEREAS The sheep industry has expressed an interest in accessing a program to manage price risk;

BE IT RESOLVED That APAS request that sheep be made eligible for Livestock Price Insurance and for the government to examine the potential for including other species, such as bison and goats.
