Resolution

WHEREAS insured production levels under the Green Feed Insurance program are not reflective of the increased yield potential associated with modern practices;

WHEREAS producers that have invested in their crops with fertilizers, sprays, and other best management practices have increased costs of production that are not adequately protected;

BE IT RESOLVED that APAS lobby Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC) to offer higher green feed production coverage for producers applying fertilizer, pesticides, while using other best management practices, and ensure crop adjusters are receiving the proper training to make these determinations.
