Resolution

WHEREAS the average age of Saskatchewan farmers is high and increasing;

WHEREAS many farmers may retire soon and young farmers need to get into farming;

WHEREAS taxation rules can be a factor for new entrants;

BE IT RESOLVED that the APAS Board examine the impact of current tax rules on new entrants to farming to determine what changes could assist new entrants and inter-generational transfer.
