WHEREAS the current policies and practices of the Pesticide Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) are making registration of generic crop protection products nearly impossible;

WHEREAS delays in registering generic crop protection products are artificially inflating the prices of these products to Canadian producers;

WHEREAS the artificially high prices for crop protection products are making Canadian producers less competitive;

BE IT RESOLVED that the Federal Government immediately implement the necessary policy changes at the Pesticide Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) to ensure that registration of generic crop protection products is not unduly delayed.
