WHEREAS water is a vital resource to all sectors of society;

WHEREAS Saskatchewan has no clearly articulated plan for water management, including both retention and drainage;

WHEREAS water management requires input and support from all stakeholders;

WHEREAS waterfowl organizations, agricultural producers, and the public may have differing interests related to water use and management;

WHEREAS the importance of environmental sustainability and the value of E G & S and ALUS programs are becoming increasingly important to all stakeholders;

BE IT RESOLVED that APAS seek funding to research current water management practices and policies, here and in other provinces.
